Stardom Cut Short

Many people love the game of baseball.  Some of us more than others, but sometimes we all forget that the players that play this great game are also people too.  For those of you who haven't already heard, Oscar Taveras was killed recently in a car accident.  Officials have no information about the accident just a conformation that Taveras and his girlfriend  died in the accident, according to bleacherreport.com.

Taveras was one of the top prospects in the nation and in his time in the majors played well for the St. Louis Cardinals.  He had earned a job sharing starts in right field for the club.  but what all of us seem to forget is that he was a person too.  That he did have a life outside of baseball.  He had a family and a girlfriend in the Dominican Republic.  Even being a Milwaukee Brewers fan for all of these years, and absolutely despising the Cardinals, I am saddened to see that this happened.  He was a future star for the club and the Major League.  He will be missed.  And I leave you with his final hit of his career.
